Liftbite is operated by Caccamedia LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. Liftbite is built as an early fitness tracking beta, with a manual-first logging loop and optional AI-assisted food estimates.
In summary:
- we do not sell personal information.
- the app requires a Liftbite account and an active membership for main app access.
- account, subscription, food, workout, goal, body weight, and progress data may be stored locally and synced to Liftbite's API where supported.
- photo and AI-assisted food features may send selected images or text to Liftbite's API and AI providers.
- optional Apple Health support can save completed workouts and read workout-related energy and heart rate data to complete workout summaries.
- analytics and diagnostics help us understand app usage, troubleshoot problems, and improve Liftbite.
- if you contact us, we use your message only to reply and support you.
Information you give Liftbite
Liftbite can store the information you choose to enter in the app, including:
- account details from Sign in with Apple, such as your name, email address, account ID, and session information.
- membership and purchase status needed to provide paid access.
- profile details such as first and last name, sex, birth date, height, current weight, goal weight, goal pace, activity level, diet, gym experience, available equipment, workout location, referral code, and nutrition targets.
- your goal mode, such as gain weight, lose weight, maintain weight, or general progress.
- food entries, food search text, barcode lookups, calories, macros, portions, meal notes, and food photos you choose to submit.
- water logs and daily hydration totals.
- workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest details, workout plans, custom workouts, workout history, workout summaries, exertion, energy, and heart rate fields where available.
- body weight entries and progress data.
- app preferences, onboarding status, local identifiers, and feature settings.
- support messages, beta feedback, bug reports, and any details you include when contacting us.
Some information may stay on your device. Some information may be sent to Liftbite's API when a feature needs backend support, syncing, account access, membership checks, food search, barcode lookup, AI food estimation, troubleshooting, analytics, or beta review.
Account and membership
Liftbite uses Sign in with Apple for account access. The app may receive your Apple-provided name, email address, identity token, authorization code, account ID, and related session details so we can create or authenticate your Liftbite account.
Main app access requires a signed-in account and an active membership. Purchases are handled through Apple's App Store. Liftbite may receive subscription, membership access, product, trial, renewal, cancellation, restore, and purchase status information from Apple or subscription service providers so the app can grant access, restore purchases, schedule trial reminders, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot purchase issues.
Liftbite may also use generated user, device, installation, and analytics identifiers. We use them to provide app functionality, sync data, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, understand usage, and connect app, API, analytics, and membership events for the same account where supported.
Permissions
Liftbite only asks for permissions that support the product:
- camera or photo access. Used when you choose to scan a barcode or submit a food photo for AI-assisted nutrition estimates.
- Apple Health. Used when you choose to connect Apple Health. Liftbite can save completed workouts and read workouts, active energy, and heart rate related to workout summaries.
- notifications. Used for reminders or app messages if you allow them.
- tracking transparency. Liftbite may ask Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission before using attribution data to understand which ads or campaigns brought people to the app. First-party product analytics do not depend on this permission.
You can change permissions in iOS settings.
Food search, barcodes, and AI food scans
When you search for food, scan a barcode, or submit a food photo, Liftbite may send the search text, barcode value, selected image, or related context to Liftbite's API. Liftbite's API may use food-data providers, barcode-data providers, or AI providers to return estimated food names, calories, macros, portions, and related nutrition information.
AI and database results are estimates and may be wrong. You can review and edit entries in the app. Do not submit photos or notes that include sensitive information you do not want processed for food estimation.
Workouts and goals
Liftbite may store workout data, goal selections, exercise history, and progress information so the app can show your history, make simple suggestions, and help you compare behavior over time.
If you connect Apple Health, Liftbite can save completed strength workouts to Apple Health and read workout-related active energy and heart rate for the workout window so the app can complete workout summaries. Health, fitness, nutrition, and body weight data can be sensitive. We use it to provide Liftbite features, not to sell personal information.
Analytics and diagnostics
Liftbite may use analytics and diagnostics to understand whether the beta is working, where users get stuck, which features are useful, and what needs fixing.
Analytics or diagnostics may include:
- app events, screens, button taps, feature usage, and general session activity.
- app version, device type, operating system, locale, and coarse network-derived information such as country or region.
- generated user, device, or installation identifiers.
- membership, purchase, trial, restore, and paywall interaction events.
- crash reports, error details, logs, performance data, and related diagnostic context.
- high-level app state needed to understand product behavior, such as goal type, entry source, completion status, or whether a permission was granted.
Liftbite may use session replay or similar diagnostics to understand product issues. When enabled, text inputs and images are masked by default, but these tools can still collect interaction, screen, device, and diagnostic context.
We do not sell personal information or use analytics to track you across other companies' apps and websites for targeted advertising. We do not share personal information with data brokers.
Website and contact data
The Liftbite website is minimal. Hosting providers may process ordinary server logs, such as request time, URL, IP address, browser, and device information, to keep the site secure and available. If website analytics are enabled, we may collect page views, clicks, browser and device information, approximate region, referral information, and errors so we can understand whether the site is working.
If you email us at hi@liftbite.app, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, and improve Liftbite.

Retention
Local app data stays on your device until you delete it in the app, reset the app, or delete Liftbite from your device. Some data may remain in iCloud or device backups depending on your Apple settings.
Account, membership, nutrition, workout, body weight, goal, and progress data synced to Liftbite's API is kept as long as reasonably needed to provide app functionality, troubleshoot issues, improve the product, protect against abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Purchase records may also be retained by Apple and subscription service providers according to their own policies. Apple Health data written by Liftbite can be managed in Apple Health and iOS settings. Support emails are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the issue. Analytics and diagnostics data is kept only as long as reasonably needed for product analytics, troubleshooting, security, and legal purposes.
Deleting or accessing your data
You can delete your account in the app where available, delete local app data, or contact us at hi@liftbite.app to ask what information we can access, request deletion of support records or backend data where available, or ask a privacy question.
Deleting your Liftbite account or deleting the app does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
Children
Liftbite is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
